Strategy For China's Development Of Economy Cars

Sustainable development should be the most important factor in developing autoindustry. This thesis was given birth due to the emerging pressure from the supply ofenergy, traffic, environmental protection and other primary resources. From theperspective of sustainable development and social need, the thesis comes up with astrategy with the focus on developing economiy cars while developing a set ofsystematic and feasible policies and measures in developing economiy cars in China.The thesis consists of 5 chapters. Chapter One gives analysis of the conflictbetween the development of China's auto industry and external resources. Therefore itis concluded that there is necessity to developing economiy cars. By furtherdiscussing the current development of China's auto industry, it is found that it's a righttime for China to develop economiy cars now.A mid term forecast of economy car development to 2020 was provided inChapter Two. By evaluating the social benefits from the economy car development,the author presents a point that the development of economiy cars is a necessity notonly for now but also for the time ahead.Chapter Three offers analysis of the current development of domestic autoproducts, refers to the international experience and presents the consumer surveyoutcome. Based on all above analysis, the author develops a clear definition andrelated criteria for economiy cars fit for sustainable development. The definition andcriteria make the development strategy realistic.Chapter Four talks about the challenges for the development of economiycars.Chapter Five recommends a set of policies and measures which serving the verystrategic objective, on the basis of Chapter Four.The highlighted features of this research compared with other researches are fortwo aspects. One is its offer of accurate definition of what the economy car is throughthorough analysis. The other is the feasibility of the policy and measurerecommendations. Both features are helpful for the related departments to makeeffective decisions.
