Competition is the way of enterprises surviving and developing under the market. As the concrete expression of competition, the researches on the enterprise competition always call much attention in the academic and industrial circles. This is not only because the enterprise competition is the key to the success of the enterprises, but also because the enterprises are the basis of competition among countries. With the expanding of market economy reform, especially with China's entry to WTO, the researches on enterprise competition become the key issues of the development of Chinese economy.The development of private businesses convinces us that they not only play crucial role in increasing economy, adjusting and optimizing system of ownership, increasing employment, solving the problem of the fund shortage and so on, but also is the motive force of social development. In recent years, the private businesses in Jiangxi Province have already made great progress, hence enforce the competition of the whole region. But with regard to the lateral economic ties, the competition of private businesses in Jiangxi is still in a rather disadvantaged situation and needs to be improved. Based on this recognition, in this paper the author makes systems analysis of the enterprise competition, as well as the evaluating system of the key factors, while in the meantime carries out the empirical researches on the competition of the whole private businesses and of the typical private technical businesses in Jiangxi, provides solutions to improve the competition of the private businesses in Jiangxi. This paper is divided into seven chapters:The first chapter gives a brief introduction to the private business, including the connotation, the constitution based on statistics, as well as the importance of the development of private business.The second chapter introduces the evolutionary process of the enterprise competition, thereafter makes analysis of the connotation and the essence of the enterprise competition from the economic point of view.The third chapter makes systems analysis of the exterior forms of expression and the origin, as well as the shaping factors of the enterprise competition.The fourth chapter makes concrete analysis of the key factors of the enterprise competition, and puts forward the evaluating system of the regional and individual enterprise competition.The fifth chapter studies the competition of the whole private business in Jiangxi on the ground of related data which have already been collected.The sixth chapter provides solutions to improve the competition of private businesses in Jiangxi from the macroscopic and microscopic levels.The last chapter gives the conclusion and the expectation of the research.
