The Study On The Agricultural Sustainable Development Of Jingzhou Farm Belt In Jianghan Plain

The Jianghan Plain is the representative moist zone, which is suitable for the growth of various living beings. Being in the center of the Jianghan Plain, Jingzhou is located in the middle and south parts of Hubei province. Jingzhou is the richest region in the ancient south China. After the foundation of P.R.C, the agricultural industry of Jianghan Plain developed rapidly and its producing capability increasingly improved. Currently, the annual yield of rice, cotton and rapeseed account for the 50% of the total product of Huibei province and play a significant role in China. At the same time, because the most infield of Jianghan Plain are everglade, its main agriculture is everglade agriculture accordingly. However, the farmers have turned everglades into infield around lake since South-Song dynasty, especially in the half of latest century, which lead to the area of lakes in Jianghan Plain reduced drastically. Furthermore, the vegetation and forest of headstream of Yangtze River and Han River have been destroyed badly. As a result, the flood frequently occurred in Jianghan Plain. In addition, the release of industry waste and chemical pesticides result in the demolition of water, land and air resource in Jianghan Plain to different extent. Moreover, because of the uneducated farmers, unadvanced agriculture technology and unreasonable economic structure, the advantages of traditional agriculture lost bit by bit and the income of farmers increased slowly. These problems have been restrictive factors of sustainable agricultural development of Jianghan Plain. This paper selected the Jingzhou farm belt as the representative of everglade agriculture. On the basis of analysis of the restrictive factors above, the paper discussed the target and related measures to realize sustainable agricultural development of Jingzhou farm belt and proposed a series of support and maintenance systems which includes:1. Construct the disaster precaution and resource environment support system of sustainable agricultural development of Jingzhou farm belt;2.Construct the reasonable circular ecological production system covering agriculture, forest, grass, livestock, fowl and local special product of sustainable agricultural development of Jingzhou farm belt;3.Construct the life support system of sustainable agricultural development of Jingzhou farm belt, namely green agriculture and green food producing system;4.Construct and culture the dynamical system of sustainable agricultural development of Jingzhou farm belt;5.Construct the mechanism and decision support system of sustainable agricultural development of Jingzhou farm belt.
