The enterprises' construction and development depend on Talents. The rational exploitation and utilization of talent resources is the key to success for an enterprise. But the most important things of all is to identify and assess the talents. Effective evaluation and management system for specialized technical personnel can provide available ways in evaluating professional's technique. Which also give decisions to talents' utilization, rewards, punishments, trainings, etc. Combined with the practice of our enterprise, the article will put forward a set of indicator system to general specialized technical personnel based on the current evaluation system. Then, the article will give an analysis to the actual situations in Wuhan Iron and Steel Company.The article is divided into four chapters:In chapter one, the author will give a statement to the current studies on performance appraisal in foreign countries, then point out the historical evolution of performance appraisal and propose its tendency in the future. Based on the actual situation of our enterprise, the author will bring up the research ideas and contents of this article.Chapter two is concerning the basis of the system for specialized technical personnel's performance appraisal. Firstly, the author will give a definition to specialized technical personnel and point out its essential characters, then expound the contents of the assessment system and recommend the programs of its operation.In chapter three, based on the classification of specialized technical personnel in enterprises, the author will study these two evaluation indicator systems, then propose a set of indicator system to general specialized technical personnel.In chapter four, applying the theory to practice, the author will make a concrete analysis to the specialized technical personnel performance appraisal in Wuhan Iron and Steel Company, and point out the direction of improvement.
