A Study On The Core Competence Of Daqing Petrochemical Company

Now the world is through a great change. The enterprises are continually reforming the systems of organizations. Especially, since our country joined the WTO, the outer circumstances of the business management have been changing greatly. Striving for long-term existence and uninterrupted growth, the enterprise must formulate its core competence.Daqing Petrochemical Company was formed from the good assets of the former Daqing Petrochemical Complex .The Company is an especially large petrochemical integrated complex, it is one of the important oil -refining chemical manufacturing and scientific research bases in our country. It uses the crude oil, oilfield gas and the light hydrocarbon from Daqing Oilfield as its major material; it is engaged in refining and chemical manufacturing. Now the outer circumstances of the enterprise become severe, the internal deep conflicts are more prominent, the existence and growth of the enterprise has already become the first problem faced ahead of the enterprise. Under the complicated and varied outer circumstances, Daqing Petrochemical Company has both advantages and disadvantages, both opportunities and threats. In this paper, Through the analysis of external or inner environment of Daqing Petrochemical Company, the further model of core competence is put forward and the measures of formulation of core competence are confirmed. The company should make clear the model of its core competence which is of the promoting of knowledge and information capability, the treatment of decreasing cost, increasing quality and developing new products, the creation of famous brand, under the guide of strategy, centered upon the function of creation capability and supported by advantages in materials andpolicy. Through the developing of knowledge and information capability, the establishing of creative mechanism, the grouping of professional, the developing of technology and product, the increasing of enterpriser diathesis, purchasing other enterprises and the uniting other companies, the core competence of the enterprise is formulated. By means of adjustment of core competence in time and strengthens of organizational culture, the core competence of the enterprise is developed continually. Finally the aim will be achieved, that is to make Daqing Petrochemical Company a better, larger and more powerful petrochemical enterprise with international competitive ability.
