In order to solve a number of problems better which enterprise faces, such as how to improve efficiency and commerce handling ability and how to implement the automation of service process, the design of workflow management system is attached increasing importance. However, information system of modern enterprise presents the character of distributivity, autonomy and isomerism, as a result it will engender lots of information transmission and compatible operation among isomer computers. In this situation, migrating workflow becomes an important research interest of workflow management.With the development of wireless network and mobile communication technology, several kinds of mobile application appear one by one. Some PDA and Smartphone own powerful ability for storing and computing, and implement a good deal of technologies in security and encryption respect which could only be implemented in personal computers earlier. The development of these technologies not only provides opportunity for migrating workflow to extend in wireless environment, but also expresses the demand of this kind of extending by people. However, because of lots of factors such as mobility of the equipment, low bandwidth and low reliability of wireless network connections and limited resource of mobile equipment, original large-scale migrating workflow system can not run in wireless environment directly. As a result, it becomes critical problem to implement migrating workflow system in wireless environment that how to support large-scale application software perfect running in wireless environment.To solve above problems, a model of wireless migrating workflow system based on Function Piece is proposed in this paper on the basis of existing theory and research. Besides, it implements the function of dividing large-scale workflow software into function pieces and the scheduling and dynamic loading mechanism of function pieces. At last we prove the rationality of all above through imitating the running process of system.The main work this paper has done is as following:1. On the basis of analyzing function and resource demand of large-scale workflow program running on mobile equipment in wireless environment, we define the concept of Function Piece, and construct the framework model of wireless migrating workflow system based on Function Piece. At last, we provide the work pattern of all components in the system.2. We propose an idea used to divide large-scale application program into functional independent function pieces based on program slicing technology, and provide its concrete implementation. Based on the ideas above we can divide large-scale workflow program into function pieces, and make it run on mobile equipment which has limited resource through downloading and dynamic assembling need function pieces. 3. Referring to process scheduling method of embedded operating system and analyzing character of function pieces used to implement workflow process, we propose an idea that computes priority by workflow process semanteme and running period of function piece, and define a function piece ready list. At last, we implement dynamic loading mechanism of Function Piece based on above ideas.4. We design mobile hotel-predetermining system. In this paper we not only define the concrete workflow process, but also implement this system based on mechanism above by aglet, a mobile agent platform. Through the implementation we prove the feasibility and usability of the Function Piece dividing and dynamic loading mechanism proposed by this paper.
