The development of mobile Ad Hoc networks has enabled the communication between the smart mobile devices feasible anytime and anywhere. With the popularity of smart mobile devices and the improvement of their processing capability, real-time information collection with the smart mobile devices will become an important means of information and resource provisioning, which allows the users to communicate and share information with each other anytime and anywhere. This paper address some applications in the self-organized Ad Hoc network with mobile devices, where the smart mobile devices are used as video sensors to provide real-time video sharing and related applications.In this paper, firstly we introduce the relevant technology background applied in our system. Secondly, we proposed three real-time video sharing application scenarios in self-organized Ad Hoc networks, including real-time video sharing and switching application in ad hoc network, contextual video sharing application based on voting mechanism, and the video sharing application in multiple platforms, and the design and implementation in each application scenario. In addition, the possible problems associated to specific application, such as the video source switching algorithm, voting mechanism to obtain contextual information in local area networks were analyzed and resolved. Finally, we discussed the future work of applications and research on video sharing.
