Image Zooming Out Technique Based On Partial Differential Equations

As the rapid progress of computer technology, Digital Image Magnification has has wide applications in the domain of industry, iatrology, avigation and military affairs. Some current interpolation algorithm cannot process the pixel's local character of tempestuousness jump, they can lead to the edge detail to be fuzzy in the enlargement image.To eliminating the detail's blur and alias, and with a notice of the wide use of PDEs in image zooming recently, In this paper mainly we promote some image zooming algorithm by using of PDEs method.The work presented in this paper mainly includes the following several aspects:We analyze the cause of the detail's blur and alias and propose a new method using PDEs as the Post-processing measure in order to maintain the sharpness and the fairing of the contours.In order to obtain exact edge information for the Post-processing, In this paper we analyze image edge characteristic and several edge detection operators to select one with high precision and without discontinuous edge and non-edge.Building upon the research and experiment of the image zooming methods based on PDEs, we combine the anisotropic diffusion equation and the idea of predict-correct and derives a new kind of algorithm on image zooming. It regards the gray level of the image as the temperature of a plane object, takes some kind of interpolation results of original image as the initial value of the anisotropic diffusion equation, then solves the equation by way of numerical method and then takes the solution as the prediction value. To replace the pixel value by the original image at the pixel corresponding to the original image, we obtain a new image considered as the corrector, which will be used as the initial value of the anisotropic diffusion equation. We have carried out the experiments, the results show that this method can keep the edge and detail of an image, and the zooming image has a good visional effect.
