As a new packet-service-oriented carrier transport technology, T-MPLS (Transport Multiprotocol Label Switching) provides an available, effective and managed service for both data service and electrical service, and it has already arose the attention of some telecommunications Providers. Meantime, T-MPLS has a good full-service access capability to provide a single platform for transportation and aggregation. With the support of the National 863 High Technology Research and Development Project, this paper studies the key technologies and hardware implementation of the Ethernet services of access in the T-MPLS network. The main work of the author is the Ethernet interface hardware, software modules and related design and implementation of the T-MPLS experimental prototype.The first chapter in this paper discusses of PTN (Packet Transport Network) technology background and the pros and cons of several PTN mainstream technologies, as well as development of the PTN market prospects; the second chapter researches the T-MPLS system's the layer network architecture, the function plane, Ethernet service adaptation schemes and a network platform of FPGA-based (Field Programmable Gate Array) T-MPLS hardware nodes; the third chapter describes the schematic diagram and PCB (Printed Circuit Board) design of the Ethernet interface hardware module, which meets requirement of the Ethernet Service adaptation in the T-MPLS network and cooperates with FPGA hardware platform; the fourth chapter is about the VHDL (Very-High-Speed Integrated Circuit Hardware Description Language) program design and debugging of the adaptation module, which also meets requirement of the Ethernet Service adaptation in the T-MPLS network; the fifth chapter is conclusion and prospection of the whole paper.This paper has mainly completed the following aspects of work and innovation:1. Intruoduction and analysis of status of PTN technology;2. System design, chip selection, feasibility analysis and hardware schematic design, hardware PCB design of the Ethernet interface hardware module;3. Debugging of the Ethernet interface hardware module and its related problems;4. VHDL program design and testing of the adaptation module; a design of Ethernet service adapation which provide the services for a network platform of FPGA-based T-MPLS hardware nodes;5. Design hardware experiment network platform testing program.The author had implemented all design, and achieved the prospect goals. Lately, the project has been verification by the National 863 High Technology Research and Development Project.
