Along with the rapid development of the TCP/IP network technology, variety of network applications emerge in endlessly, especially the rise of Peer-to-Peer network involving film downloading, media broadcasting, real-time communications, file sharing etc,which has brought great convenience for people's work,entertainment and communication. However, the widespread use of the P2P technologies has also brought a lot of serious problems about network services and network security, such as excessive bandwidth consumption,rapid virus spread,low security of communication data and so on. Therefore, how to inspect and control the P2P traffic flow effectively when enjoying the convient service brought by P2P technology is a research hotspot and has also become a real problem which is highly valued by the network service providers and network managers and also needed to solve urgently.According to these problems, this paper designs an integrative traffic monitoring system based on P2P network by analyzing and studying the P2P traffic flow inspecting and control technology emphasizely, and then it gives the detailed design and simulated implementation of the system. To be specific, the primary work of this paper includes as follows:1. The paper proposes an integrated scheme about P2P traffic inspecting based on the research and analysis of the current P2P traffic inspecting technology, mainly using DPI and DFI technology.In addition to detect the ordinary P2P traffic flow, it can also indentify the P2P encryption protocol and complex protocol to a certain extent.2. The paper proposes an integrated scheme about P2P traffic control based on the research and analysis of the current P2P traffic control technology.It mainly uses traffic-shapping and traffic-interrupting technology and can control the P2P traffic flow comprehensively.3. The paper designs a new P2P traffic monitoring system framework based on combination of P2P traffic inspecting method with P2P traffic control scheme.It also gives a new scheme about network deployment that is applicable to the system.4. The paper makes detailed study on the design and implementation of two core modules. One is protocol feature library; the other is P2P traffic flow detecting module. A new algorithm about catching feature automatically is also presented.5. The paper implements a P2P traffic monitoring system under Linux environment using the protocol feature library and P2P flow detecting module.The testing and results analyzing is also carried out, which proves that the system can detect and control P2P traffic flow effectively.
