The size measurement of Mechanical parts based on CCD belongs to research range of image measurement technology. The visual inspection technology is a novel measurement method based on modern optics, which combines photoelectricity with digital image pressing technique. With the rapid development of machine vision and optics, visual inspection technology will further demonstrate its great superiority and take the fancy of the public, as a non-contacted measurement method.This article will mainly visual detection techniques apply to two-dimensional geometry measurement of mechanical parts, from improved measurement accuracy and measurement speed start to area array CCD as a sensor, measurement system design of mechanical parts, with emphasis on image processing in the crucial technologies and calibration of the system conducted in-depth study to achieve the right parts of the sub-pixel size of the edge position measurement, in order to further achieve the high-precision measurement of complex parts basis.This paper uses MATLAB7.0 as image processing software, and set up the measurement system software platform using the GUIDE editor GUI interface provided by MATLAB. Enables a variety of image processing algorithms and proposes calibration method suitable for the system. This paper takes the detailed theoretical analysis in all aspects of systematic errors from the image acquisition process, object segmentation process and the characteristic quantity calculation process, and puts forward an effective way to reduce the error; for Hough transformation, it takes a detailed analysis and makes new improvements.This paper has experimented for the system repeatedly, analyzed the experimental data. Experimental results show that CCD measurement of the parts used to measure sub-pixel accuracy can be achieved, its methodology is effective and satisfactory.
