3D interactive simulation technology is an important part of virtual reality and also an important topic of virtual reality technology. In recent years, computer software and hardware developing rapidly,3D interactive simulation technology becomes more attractive and has more extensive areas of its application.This thesis is executed revolving around the realization of the tri-dimensional interactive simulation system based on the SHJ-72 Reducer system, and several problems are discussed and resolved:three-dimensional model format conversion, simplification and optimum, design and realization of human-computer technology, and solutions of assembly simulation. Tri-dimensional model format conversion analyses the data exchange problems from CAD system to a virtual environment. Tri-dimensional model simplification and optimum is an important problem in the fields of computer simulation and virtual reality. In this thesis, the interactive devices are mouse, keyboard, microphone and monitor. Collision detection is proposed for the sake of improving the sense of reality and interactivity.1. Study of three-dimensional model data conversion. As the model made by Pro/E can not be directly imported into Virtools, this paper uses three common formats used of CAD software to convert the model, with 3DS MAX as the software for the conversion medium. respectively, and then a variety of conversion methods based on the analysis of the conversion effect than the right, arrive at different models of the conversion method selected on the basis for the establishment of an interactive virtual assembly system, lay the foundation. Then, based on the competition effects of various kinds of conversion methods, the selecting rules for different conversion methods are chosen, and the foundation for an interactive virtual assembly system is laid.2. Model simplification and optimization. In order to meet the requirements of real-time interaction, the model was need to be simplify, to achieve the purpose of data compression, while meeting the requirements of visual effects. This paper used 3DS MAX and Virtools for model simplification and optimization, to explore a model to simplify and optimize the technical approach.3. Virtual assembly studies. The major technical problems of virtual assembly were analyzed and researched, the assembly sequence and collision detection issues were studied, and two kinds of collision detection methods were analyzed through Virtools. 4. Design and realization of three-dimensional interactive simulation system. A multi-information module were designed, support the user interaction, and achieving the three-dimensional interactive simulation system of SHJ-72 Reducer.
