The Study Of University Library Acquisition Based On Collection Evaluation In Web Environment

Document acquisition is the library's leading work, is the basic work for carrying out all work of the library. It's also an important part of library work. Routine work of library is based on abundant collections. The level of document acquisition is the key of collection development, it will directly affect the capacity and effectiveness of library services. Collection evaluation is the center of the library to carry out all work,but is also an important indicator to measure the lover of document acquisition.Considering new problems during the course of document acquisition in the era of information, the collection evaluation and book acquisitioning should adjust to keeping pace with the times. Therefor, Investigate the university library collection based on collection evaluation which made under network environment is important. The thesis is divided into four parts,the first part describes background of the collection evaluation and objectives as well as its research significance. The second part details the principles of the document acquisition, significance. Besides, the significance and Index Sign of evaluation collection also discussed. Part 3 deals with the present situation of document acquisition and existing problems for university library. The fourth section presents the proposals and solutions for document acquisition based on the collection evaluation.In short, the document acquisition is a very important business of library. The ultimate goal of library assessment is to guide practical work and to improve the quality of literature resources. Thus, it can provide better service for teaching and research.
