Jiaguwen is one of the rarest culture heritages in China, and it possesses of most important value of culture heritage protection and history research. With rapid development of science and technology, it is more advantageous to protect and inherit the rare Jiaguwen through digital processing. According to the related technology at home and abroad, a high-precision curve-outline generation system for Jiaguwen is designed and implemented in this paper. The implemented system can be used to extract Jiaguwen from the source Jiaguwen images and generate the high-precision curve-outline of Jiaguwen font. The major research content in this paper is as follows:1. Combined with K-means cluster analysis method and the eight neighborhood technology, a method for Jiaguwen image processing based on modified K-means clustering algorithm is proposed. A more effective image segment result is obtained by the method, after image segment, some method of image processing will be used for modifying and improving the result of image segment and the outlines of Jiaguwen are obtained. At last, the feature points on the outlines of Jiaguwen fonts are calculated for next research work.2. A method of uniform cubic B-spline curve fitting with adaptive shape parameters is proposed and applied to generate the curve outline of Jiaguwen automatically. Combined with cubic B-spline with local shape parameter, the control points of B-spline which transit the pre-calculated feature points is got by mathematical method, and then the local shape parameters is obtained by using the least square method, which result in the smallest distance between the obtained fitting curve and source outline of Jiaguwen, finally the cubic B-spline curve fitting is performed by the control points and shape parameter. The fitting curve is improved automatically by adjusting the adaptive shape parameters, and transits the feature points accurately.3. The high-precision curve-outline generation system for Jiaguwen is designed and implemented in this thesis. This system not only validates the methods which are proposed in the paper, but also enhances the efficiency of generating curve-outline of Jiaguwen font automatically and reducing the storage of Jiaguwen.
