With dramatic advance of Internet and wide application of the multimedia technology, information-hiding techniques have become a new hot topic in the domain of the information security. Today, lots of people's originality can be saved and transferred by the way of text document. It becomes an important way of information transfers. Its universality makes the research of data hiding in text documents very valuable. Since this, the text hiding techniques are discussed in detail in this paper.In the thesis, firstly we introduce the basic theories of information hiding technologies. Then we analyze the information hiding techniques based on text document in detail, and give a survey of today's popular algorithms of text document information hiding and their advantages and shortcomings.Based on the above work, this thesis improves two information hiding algorithms based on text documents and implements these two algorithms. The first one is underline color information hiding algorithm which is a new improved algorithm that is proposed by the text color information hiding algorithm has a small amount of information hiding and execution time of the low efficiency, and the improved algorithm improves the amount of information hiding. The second is two improvements of the text document information hiding algorithm in terms of word classification and segment classification. One way is the improvement of information hiding algorithm approach, and the experiments test and verify the effectiveness and robustness of the improved algorithm; the second way is the improvement of algorithm's performance, because the information hiding algorithm has a small amount of information hiding, and the improved algorithm improves the amount of information hiding. This thesis programs and realizes several improved algorithms, and the experimental results are compared and analyzed in detail. At the same time, the results show that the improved algorithms have a large hidden information capacity, high concealment and a certain degree of robustness.
