In view of the problem that the security in night driving, a real-time infrared night vision system in the car is designed in this dissertation. The system can make the car get a clear vision of the rode surface not only at night but also in rain, fog and snow. The background of the research problem and the use state of infrared image detecting technology through the world are discussed in the thesis, and in view of the problem that the effect of infrared image processing is not perfect, the thesis introduces a real time image processing system based on the DSP&FPGA.This system can vary from the traditional image processing system based on PC mode in character, and play the advantage of both DSP and FPGA, improve its performance in the field of real time than ever and reduces the cost of the system in most possible.The thesis confirms the parts of an apparatus select from the design purpose and appliance requirement.The thesis particular introduces the night vision system design about hardware based on DSP&FPGA from its system build-up,logic frame and each function module of the system and analyzed the design technology and the method of realization in details.In addition to the necessary hardware support, quick and efficient processing algorithms are also necessary. This dissertation discusses the median filter and the Retinex algorithm for two kinds of image processing methods. The results show that: The system has the characteristics of high speed real-time, received a clearer image and could insure the real-time processing of infrared image.
