This paper designs the surface defect detection system to reach real time automation inspection for Nd-Fe-B small magnetic rings. According to the datailed analysis for the cause of defects, the design schemes are inroduced for the surface defect detection system and every subsystem, and the hardware subsystem is datailed discribed.And, this paper, through the studies of surface flaw texture feature in the magnetic rings, proposes an algorithm which uses the weighted information entropy of image gradient variance to suppress the random surface texture from the surface characteristics of magnetic rings, defect type and detecting algorithm to extract the flaws and achieve the detection and classification of flaws. At last, according to the test for of magnetic ring images with fracture,pockmark, scratch, crack and blowhole. The feasibility of software algorithm and the reliability of hardware system are vertified . |
