In the low light level night vision system, camera lens is an important part whose quality of imaging can make a real difference to the performance of the whole system. The distance in operation is always affected by many causes. So before designing a new apparatus, it is necessary to calculate exactly the distance that the system can reach, and meanwhile, to guarantee the observation results by projecting the detectable-distance. Through the research, the thesis defines the parameters of the camera lens in the low light level night vision system, image intensifier models, parameters of the turning lens and CCD sensitization device models. Then according to the parameters of the camera lens and the software of optical design with ZEMAX, the logical original structure will be selected and the aberration correction will be done. Following the correction, there will be tolerance analysis and repeated analysis contraction which should make it meet the design requirements basically.
