With the advent of the global information, network has developed rapidly and information is increasing too. As to March 2002, there are about 1,175,311,748 indexing documents in the world's largest search engine database. But the dramatic increase of information leads to the daily decrease of the information retrieval efficiency, and serious problems of "information overload" and "information lost" occurred. For scientific research workers, that whether they can get the latest research developments of his subject area more quickly and more accurately becomes one of the key factors of which affect their research work. So we put forward the Inner Mongolian Natural Science Foundation project—Researching of Autonomous'Scientific Knowledge Sharing'Based on Ontology. As a subsystem of the project, this subject- Researching and Realization of Top-k Technology of Information Retrieval Based on"Improved Scientific Knowledge Ontology"on P2P, mainly in the pre-established domain ontology model based on ontology, researched on technology of information retrieval based on ontology ,and joined the information retrieval of heterogeneous ontology to provide optimal retrieval of documents k basic functions on distributed environment .The main works of this thesis are as follows.First, on base of studying existing technology and ontology model which has been established, it joins the heterogeneous ontology of information retrieval technology, supports the reasoning of multiple relations defined in ontology. Secondly, this paper presents a distributed multi-level concept queries. It reduces the central index node burden, on the other hand, embodies the advantages of distributed P2P system and improves the speed of retrieval to a great extent. Finally, it studies and compares the existing information retrieval as well as the Top-k technology.For the goal of this project, this paper designed the Top-k retrieval system based on Ontology on P2P, and achieved in the Eclipse system. The practicality of the system is reflected by the structure and algorithm of the experimental data.
