The Second half of 2008, a large number of infants was found have the acute renal failure and kidney stone disease, because of the use of Sanlu infant milk powder. The investigation showed Sanlu milk powder containing a large mount of industrial raw materials-melamine. Then the other, even some well-known brands of mainland dairy products were found to contain melamine, the incident to the dairy market in China has brought great impact. "Sanlu milk powder" incident has not only become the year's hot news, but also been the focus of academics in recent years.This paper uses the framework theory of communication, and selects a sample of 380 articles from three different newspapers in mainland China and Taiwan, to focus on the reports about "the unqualified milk powder of Sanlu ". In order to show the different news frame construction of the three daily of mainland China and Taiwan on the issue of "defective milk powder of Sanlu", and to discuss the different subjective interpretations and reporting structure of the media of mainland China and Taiwan, the article considers some aspects as follows:profile of this incident reported; genre; topics; sources; solutions; derivative problems and so on. Besides, the paper also makes some thoughts on the practice of the framework theory in news reports.
