Internet has been breaking the record created by itself since the day of birth. It has been continuously promoted from the number and community comparison of netizen to the amount of websites, as well as the speed and the techniques of network. The 25th Statistical Report on Internet Development in China published in Beijing on January 15, 2010 shows that by December,2009, the number of Chinese Internet users had reached 384 million. Along with the continuous extend of Chinese netizens' scale and the enrichment of netizens'structure, the social influence of Internet has been less and less ignored.Having a prominent position in the world, the development of network of our country displays a very driving tendency. At the same time, the network media of our country also have a substantial development. The leadership concerning network news departments figures that, taking the protests online against United States'bombing China embassy in Yugoslavia on May 9,1999 as the symbol of network media ascended Chinese medium stage, the incident happened in Lhasa on March 14th,2008 and the earthquakes taken place in Wenchuan on May 12th,2008 then indicate that network media are becoming one of the essential media in present Chinese society. Blue Book of China's Society (2010) points out, public sentiments online fast-formed by the methods of posting edits on news, sending posts on BBS, and signing online by a large number of netizens have already become a research realm that allows of no neglect.The analysis of 77 social events of biggish influences in the year 2009 directed by Public Sentiment Monitor Center of People's Daily Online enunciation that there were 23 incidents exploded by network users arousing public concern, accounting for 30% of all affairs. In other words, about 30% of social public sentiments are to rise because of Internet. Internet has become one of the independent sources of public sentiment news. What are following would be the tendencies that network subjects are getting more and more extensive and the not-rational emotion of network intends to spread. What can be seen is that Internet has become the most dashing place of public sentiment expression nowadays. Meanwhile, network public sentiment has caused everyone's concern. Moreover, the influence to university and college student has been increasingly strengthened.Network forum is a kind of important way of forming public opinion in the network. In regard to universities and colleges, BBS has become an indispensability part of students'study and life. It is the terrace of students'study and thought exchanges, and also a club where they make friends, get amusement and recreation. It is not only influencing the growth of each university student all the time, also an important terrace of network public sentiment formation in universities and colleges. Therefore, problems appeared in BBS of universities and colleges usually need to cause enough value.This thesis intends to limit the range of the research of public sentiment in university and college network to the one caused by subjects in campus BBS, tries to look for a suitable guide method combined with the relation of campus BBS, university students and the network public sentiment. It analyzes the mutual influence and function between contents and characteristics of public sentiment and the individual characteristic of university students from the aspect of BBS contents, as well as the analysis of the influence of network public sentiment from the aspect of details. Furthermore, it analyzes the methods and strategies to guide network public sentiment, in order to maintain the harmonious campus environment and the smoothness of student-work's development.
