With a rapid development of network technology in recent years,network resources have now increasingly become a main source for people to gain knowledge. However, the fast-growing network makes traditional C/S mode severely challenged. At the same time, with its exponential growth in network bandwidth and computing capacity, P2P has now received more and more attention in industrial and academic areas and become our research focus. P2P network has many interesting technical functions such as decentralized control, self-organization, adaptation and scalability, which makes it a promising choice of harnessing the huge resources of the vast number of internet hosts. However, the data in P2P network are distributed, unstructured and in lack of semantic expression and description, so that they are only shared in the level of coarse granularity (the file level). The low retrieval effectiveness limits the P2P network's potential to work to its best, and decreases the knowledge sharing level among peers.Firstly, a detailed study of P2P and knowledge map is conducted; then P2P semantic P2P is analyzed emphatically. On that basis, the construction of knowledge map is discussed.By using the SOM-like algorithm, the system can merge the other peers'knowledge artifacts under a focal peer's knowledge structure and visually present the cognitive knowledge map of the P2P network. A method for the construction of knowledge map is introduced using the SOM.A formalized expression of concepts and the relationship among them about some domain could be given by ontology. So ontology could be used to construct knowledge map. On the basis of the analysis of the three-layer structure and the system framework of ontology knowledge map, the system structure and the work flow of ontology knowledge map is put forward.Combining the virtue of SOM and ontology, A dynamic knowledge map on the basis of users'needs is proposed, which is a semantic map based on hierarchical relations among ontology concepts and is visualized by SOM algorithm.
