The Design And Implementation Of Distributed Network Management System Based On SNMP

The complexity of modern telecommunication networks is growing faster and faster and heterogeneity is increasingly widespread. In order to adapt to these changes effectively and quickly, developing a efficient network management system which manages these ever-changing networks has become a challenging task. Distributed technology not only meets the growing requirement of network applications, but also has good scalability and interoperability when interact through the networks. It is the inevitable trend that network management system adopt the distributed technology.The thesis focuses on the design and implementation of distributed network management system based on SNMP. At the beginning, this thesis briefly introduces the concept and principle of SNMP. Then in the basis of understanding of SNMP protocol, it researches the integration management application platform which is cross-operating system and cross-database and analyzes the scalability and maintainability of application. For the diversification of complex network structure, the thesis introduces the idea of distributed management and analyzes the design proposal of distributed framework based on integration management application platform. Meanwhile, it achieves topology management moudle, fault management moudle and VDSL2 moudle based on distributed framework.Practical application show that integration management application platform which is researched in this thesis has good adaptability, scalability and reusability. The distributed framework has high reliability, stability and handleability. The functional moudles have strong practicability, high efficiency and flexibility.
