Based on development at home and abroad of optical encoder and its research significance, according to the composition and working principle of incremental shaft encoder, comparative analysis several kinds of electronic subdivision of encoder, and it focused on calculation electronic subdivision in this paper.The traditional incremental encoder uses the phase change of range and phase of photoelectric signal to subdivide. However, the signal range is affected by the factors of power supply fluctuations, light intensity, speed, and temperature and so on; we can not obtain the displacement information exactly. A theory of sine-cosine ratio which not contains the range but contain the displacement information is discussed in this paper, and based on this theory a calculation electronic subdivision method is researched in this paper. The system Ml displays the microcomputer operation function. It processes the output signal of the photo-electric encoder in order to achieve higher resolution.In the article gives the system composition diagram, the hardware electric circuit and the system program diagram. The system hardware divides into the signal acquisition circuit including signal enlarge, the S/H, A/D processing electric circuit; The figuring-counting circuit; Monolithic integrated circuit and I/O connection electric circuit three parts. The system software procedure divides into the computation to subdivide, figuring-counting, the code outputs three parts, the procedure uses the table look-up technology much, reduces the program time, the overall system procedure running time is 0.7ms in.The light mechanical and electrical joint shake down testing experiment indicated the system is feasible. In the article acts according to the actual result to draw the curve of error, and moves the error analysis and the error correction discussion.
