The core of the media market competition is the power of influence. As a special kind of industry media, educational press fails to meet the requirements of era development, as the deepening of reform of the publication and educational system. In spite of the good self-sensation, the development mode of the educational press, which puts up the characteristic of industrial protection, makes itself in difficulty while it faces the market economy. It is a fact that its market share and social influence gets less and less.It is a competitive time of multimedia. However, most people work for the educational press still don't know how to participate in the competiton and they are even not aware of that. The essay makes the monographic study on the current situation of the educational press in Shanghai, the problems in the development of it, the influence factor and the future of this industry.After that, the essay focuses on the 'minority' to table some feasible proposals: make clear the charactensitc of educational press and guide in different ways; increase the support of interrelated policy; change the conceptions and ready for the reform of the system such as, to set up a powerful media group, to reallocate publication resources and to make cooperative development between different regions; follow the discipline of market economy and adjust the inner managing structure of modern corporation and etc. In the end, I analyzes the feasibility and puts forward some counter-measures in the essay in order to finish the significative research in the course of mode change of educational press in Shanghai.
