Strategies Of Reliable Transmission In Practical Network Coding System

In today's practical communication network, information delivery is performed by routing. However, the traditional storageforward routing method has its own drawbacks which makes the real network cannot reach the maximum throughput. To tackle with the issue, the concept of network coding that is based on the Maxflow-Mincut theorem was put forward by Ahlswede et al. in 2000. This concept changes the traditional function of inter nodes such as routers and makes them encode the incoming information before transmission to achieve the maximum throughput. The following study manifests that network coding can not only promote the throughput of the system, but also provide with the load balance, reduction of the propagation delay and energy consumption.Based on the idea of network coding,the experts have proposed many structures of network coding . The practical network coding is a kind of network coding that was designed for the real communicaiton environment. However, this coding strategy needs high reliability of encoding vectors without which the communicaiton quality could be horrible.The case is even more urgent in the wireless network which abides severe noise interference and cannot afford high transmitting power. To tackle with the issue, the author proposes some strategies of transmission in the practical network coding system and applies some channel coding algorithm to the network coding system. The paper also proposes the suitable channel coding methods according to different situation as well as application.The simulation results show that these protection strategies can make great contributions to the communication quality.The main works are as follows:1. The basic theorem of network coding and the benefits that network coding offers.2. Specifies some common structures of network coding algorithm.3. The problem of pracatical network system is specified and the reason of the problem is presented in details. 4. Some strategies of reliable transmission in practical network coding system are brought forward,including the CRC mode,the cooperative coding mode,the shift mode as well as the amendatory CRC mode.5. Analysis of the simulation results of the strategies.
