Nowadays as the competitions of the mobile communication become more and more fierece, it puts forward higher requirements of the designs of the mobile phones. Therefore, the market can only be dominated by the mobile phones that feature the fashionable appearance, friendly interface, excellent performance and strong functions. To users, the software of the lower layer is unvisible; the only feel of the mobile phone is the visible interface and the convinced operation. So capability of the application layer software is very important to the mobile phone.This thesis combines the design work of mobile phone system software, presenting a set of the program of developing GSM mobile phones in order to adapt the development of the science and technology, expounding GSM system and mobile phone platform, making a detailed analysis and design of call control module.In the call control module, firstly the functions of the whole call module is divided into several soft unit module, then this article introduced the specific achievement process of each unit module. Basing on the analysis and research of the whole call control process, it made a design to the whole call control module with control mechanism of state machine and event driven message module as basic thoughts, presented a state machine for call control, and listed events caused state transition as well as state transition diagram. Moreover, making the detailed analysis and design by the way of the procedure flow to MO (Mobile Originated), MT (Mobile Terminated), and hung up module. Finally, the correctness and feasibility of the design had been tested through simulation on PC (Personal Computer).The mobile phone which adopt the design of this paper's Call Control have been emluatored in the simulator and have download in the sample, after the modify of the software, the mobile phone can be produced in batch. Below the effort of the hardware and test group, the mobile phone can be put in the market finally.
