Spread Spectrum Communication technology has been wide used from military applications to civilian areas in mobile communications, wireless data communications because of its anti-interference ability, good concealment, easy to realize the advantages of multicast transmission. In recent years, with the development of power line carrier communication systems, spread spectrum communication technology used in this area gradually. Since the application of direct sequence spread spectrum communication, communication speed has been a bottlenecks because power lines are a special kind of communication media. In this case, I will introduce the soft-spread-spectrum communication technology.Author research the domestic power line carrier current meter reading program of the application, analysis the pseudo-random sequence deficiencies for the current power line carrier communication problems. At the basis of pseudo-random sequence, author improve on the introduction of orthogonal pseudo-random sequence. This sequence is very suitable for soft-spread spectrum communication system. Based on the m sequence used by spread spectrum, the orthogonal pseudo-random sequence has more superior characteristics than the original m sequence. Compared with the existing orthogonal sequence, the new sequence not only has similar relevant characteristics of its outstanding advantages, but also are key element of balance and cycle of flexibility. These features will make outstanding contributions in power line carrier communication technology.Author use LPC2132 of NXP's ARM7 series chip after analysis and in-depth study at the domestic power line carrier technology. The system by soft spread spectrum communication technology use the mapping software PROTELL99 and IAR debug platform, design a soft spread spectrum communication system, and complete the test system hardware and software design environment, achieve a soft concept of spread spectrum communication, finally complete a soft spread spectrum communication system. The experimental results show that the soft spread spectrum communication system is stable and reliable and can be in the domestic power line carrier communication, the communication rate has improved 8-10 times.
