Design And Implementation Of Integrative Business Collaboration Platform For Group

Collaborative applications have been gradually replacing the traditional office desktop applications and become the mainstream market. However, those systems especially in group corporations are often lack of integration and rarely able to co-ordinate with each other. It is inevitable that enterprises continue develop and expand. The systems no longer meet the new requirements when enterprise management changes. As a result, the development of an efficient, maintainable, integrated business collaboration platform for group corporation is great significant.Against this background, this paper analyzes the group's business-management features, as well as current situation of co-office platforms, and summarizes that the group corporations need an integrative, standardized, scalable collaboration platform. The overall requirements include functional requirements, multi-organizational structure of demand, non-functional requirements as well as the system interfaces.Then it carries out architecture of the platform (including data layer, application layer, and presentation layer), Java and Domino technology selection, deployment model, as well as the combination of DOMINO and DB2 database data model. The architecture design of the platform full considers the complicated organizational structure, makes information resources smooth flow among vertical and horizontal organization, and be managed in centralized or distribute way. Next, it introduces such examples as file tracing function in file management module, major task tracing function in 4D module , document library function in document management module that show detail design of the platform. According to the CMMI-based software process, the platform has been implemented, tested and deployed. During the testing process, it respectively performs interface testing, functional testing and stress testing. Particularly through the stress testing, the system's operating efficiency has been verified.The business collaboration platform carries out in practice for Baosteel Group and achieves good results. So that the group fully delivery and share information between the organizations. After the pilot running, the survey shows that the platform has a good operational efficiency. At the same time, the platform has also been improved through practice.
