With the extensive application of Java language in many areas and the further expansion of market-oriented of Loongson, and to improve the "Loongson" platform for the Java runtime environment support and enhance the operating efficiency of Java program, drawing the working experience of port and optimization of JDK1.5 HotSpot Virtual Machine (JVM), the research and porting of JDK6 HotSpot JVM on Loongson Platform is becoming a urgent task.This dissertation mainly focuses on the port of JDK6 HotSpot JVM on Loongson Platform. First, we make an intensive study of Java architecture base on the Java Virtual Machine Specification. Then the Java Virtual Machine was studied. The architecture and running mechanism of the JDK6 HotSpot JVM analysed. Then the Function modules of JDK6 HotSpot JVM such as assembler, interpreter, JIT interpreter, and run environment were studied. Finally, the key techniques of the porting JDK6 HotSpot VM to given Loongson-based and operating system for Loongson-based application were studied, the porting scheme was provided. Through the initial porting on Loongson-bashed platform, the Loongson-based platform could support Java running environment on console by ported JDK6 HotSpot VM.Using Performance analysis tools such as JVM98 benchmarks, Oprofile, performance analysis was carried out on ported JDK6 HotSpot JVM, after comparing data, the performance bottleneck of HotSpot VM was analysed, and the optimization solution w??br/>given.
