Switching power supply is a significant part of the power electronics, which effects the performance the electronic equipment.Recently, as the rapid development of coal industry, the requirement for the safety mine is more and more higher. But not only power supplying system under the mine is the complex, the wide range of supplying voltage, the wide span and the wide changing extend of the voltage, it is not convenient to obtain the electricity, but also the power device has the construction of explosion prevention, the power loss,efficiency and the radiating is not easily solved. So the design for the switching power supply should adapt to the requirement of the coal mine. This article put a deep research for the switching power supply which can work in a wide voltage range to adapt to the special requirement in the coal mine.Research of the paper is founded by a project of enterprise in Chongqing.Firstly, this paper introduced background and significance of the wide range input switching power supply, summarized the primary types,heuristic procedure and characteristics, expounded the overview and trend of the technology of switching power and control technology in and abroad.Next, proposed a new design method combined a wide range input power supply and a normal switching power supply .Then put emphasis on the design principle and design method of the wide range input switching power supply, completed the main circuit and the control circuit design, the lectotype of controller, driving circuit for the switching, filtration circuit for the input and output circuit, PFC, anti-jamming circuit design are included. Meanwhile, a protection circuit is designed for the wide range input power supply. A simulation model is builted to optimize the construction and parameter of the wide range input power supply.Finally, on the base of the design, a prototype of wide range input power supply is produced, debugged successfully. In the experiment , a lot of data is obtained. The result of the experiment proved the feasibility of the design, it is also proved that the wide range input power supply is reliable, and has a high cost performance. The result has a good reference value for the design for the wide range input power supply.
