As the Information Age comes, there are more and more applications of computer in almost every field of our society, computer plays a very important role in modern community. As a result of the complexity of application environment, the micro processor-center of the computer system, is facing a more and more serious disturb, there exists an austere challenge of the reliability of high performance micro processor.This article focuses on studying the technologies which are used in strengthening the reliability, based on a micro processor that is similar with the standard 8051, it uses many technologies, such as, TMR,EDAC,BCP, and so on. At the same time, it makes some tests concerning about the function and reliability on the modules that are strengthened with the technologies, after the analysis of some test data, it can be included that the reliability of micro processor can be strengthened efficiently by uses of the technologies.The two points below are the major work of this article .(1)Focus on how to increase the reliability of micro processor, we deeply study some of the technologies which are used in strengthening the reliability. The most common technologies are TMR,EDAC,BCP,Watchdog Processor, and so on. In the article, we use the TSTMR(temporal spatial triple module redundancy) and BCP.(2)Based on a 8-bit embedded micro processor, after we have got familiar with its architecture, we analysis the ALU and system management unit, then we use some of the technologies which can increase the reliability of micro processor in the two modules, an the same time, we do some tests concerning about the function and reliability on the modules, after that, we also do some analysis of the test data and get the conclusion.
