The job in this paper is a part of the implementation of the prototyte system of the project "The basic Theory of the Universal trustworthy Network" which is a part of the national "973" project. The work mainly focuses on the implementation of Search Engine for Service Identifiers in the Universal Network. Service Identifier is introduced in the Universal Network, which is used as the unify description of network resources.In this paper, the design and implementation of a conventional search engine with basic modules, Service Identifier-based search mechanism and semantic reasoning mechanism have been completed. This paper aims at designing a Service Identifier Search Engine for the Universal Network, which can acquire the Internet resources and assign Service Identifiers, which can provide a user interface to query resources in the Universal Network, which can highlighted the Service Identifier's core concept of "data-centric", which can provide a simple case of semantic. Through the realization of the above functions, the system will complete a series of additional functions for the prototype system of the Universal Network.The paper is recognized as followings:1. introduces the research status of the naming system of internet resources, the basic models and theories of the Universal Network, as well as the relevant background knowledge of search engine. At the same time points out the basic idea of the mechanism of the Search Engine for Service Identifiers.2. points out the prototype system's need of a search engine, discuses the system model, general design and module partition, especially the main functions and specific implements of each module and their subunits with top-down approach.3. introduces basic semantic ontology knowledge with a separate chapter, in which a semantic model of reasoning is shown and a simple realization program of semantic reasoning is given.4.describes the environment and the configuration process that this system needs, the actual procedures for running this system, the test results and detailed analysis, at the same time discusses the inadequacies and the direction of improvement of this system.
