Great damage brought out by net worms has been paid much attention, and the damage that amounts to at least 1000 million, is not less than the loss brought by a small war. Worm is vital in the information antagonism. This dissertation mainly focuses on the worm propagation characteristic research with two methods: simulation and mathematical analysis. The main contents of this dissertation are as follows:Firstly, through the worm mechanism and functional structure analysis, a simplified structure model applicable for parametric modeling is established. Based on this, a worm parametric modeling method is proposed and a practical and scalable worm parametric model is established.Secondly, AAWP model is extended for local-scanning, which is used for analyzing local-scanning worm characteristics with the method of mathematical reasoning. Meanwhile, a design idea is proposed of which the scanning parameters can adjust dynamically with the change of the net characteristic, and the ideal spreading model of local-scanning, reference for design and research is established.Again, method of worm research with simulation means is explored in the perspective of simulation, and a coarse, large-scale, and highly efficient worm spreading simulator is carried out. The simulator is a discrete event simulation, using cycle scanning method to promote simulation clock. Based on the worm parameters model, the impact of important factors in the spread of worm is fully taken into account. Particular attention is paid to modularity and scalability design.Finally, the validity of the simulator is verified, by which the influence of net parameters and worm parameters on worm propagation characteristic are analyzed and remarked and reached a number of conclusions.
