Experiment teaching has been playing an increasingly important role in high school education. lt's a key measure to improve the students' ability. Virtual Laboratory appears with the development of computer technique and virtual instrument technique. As an essential and beneficial supplement to the traditional experiment, virtual experiments not only saves a lot of education funds, but also extends the experiments in time and space effectively. It has the vast applied foreground in the education and research realm. Virtual Laboratory is a new development direction of the experiment teaching as well as an active research topic recently. Therefore, the constraction of the virtual laboratory is very necessary.First of all, the paper points out the problems of oneness, dependence, and limitations in researching virtual laboratory by comparing the status quo between inside and overseas. Secondly, the building of virtual laboratory is described from three aspects of the basic theory, technology methods and application development in detail.on the basis of above method, the paper puts forward the building scheme of the virtual laboratory on power electronic which combines VB, VC++ and PSPICE ,taking the netlist file as connection bridge. The scheme adopts ActiveX of VB to generate the electronic components,takes VC++ actualize the front interface programming, uses PSPICE to realize the analysis of the simulation. Experimental information is preserved in the manner of database technology,and the report of the experiment is created by VBA technology. The development of power electronic virtual laboratory system realizes many functions, such as user login, designing circuit diagram, setting the parameters, simulation, preserving and resuming the state of laboratory, generating the report of the experiment .At the same time,the system provides both costumed and uncustomed experiments. The user can make various experiments on power electronics simply and visually in the system which has the characteristics of good interaction and expansibility.At last, the system is affirmed to be perfect by experimentalizing on the costumed and the uncustomed espectively. Besides,the paper pointes out problems still existed in the virtual laboratory ,and makes a pilot study of future research on the construction of internet virtual laboratory and the constraction of virtual laboratory combined software and hardware.
