Expert System Based On Image Detection Of Pests In Stored Grain

In grain storage period, the losses cause by pests is very serious. The consumption value and merchandise value of the grain eroded by pests are significantly reduced. In recent years, countries around the world have given a high priority of prevention and control of pests in stored grain. Based on understanding and analysis of the major problem in current pest controlling, the expert system based on image detection of pests in stored grain is studied in this paper. By researching on stored-grain pests knowledge, critical control point, using image detection, database technology and other modern information technology, combined with the basic principles of HACCP management system, this paper developed an expert system which can direct actual grain storage managers to contact with identification of stored grain pests, disinsected technology, and also provide the effective treatment to achieve the purpose of prevention .Around the subject, this paper carried out the following research work.1. Stored-grain pests Detection module design. Against pests in stored grain in the image detection, image enhancement, smoothing, binarization, morphology filtering, feature extraction are studied. Through the actual treatment results, different ways in the same process are compared. Realize the images extracting of pests perimeter, area and other characteristics.2. Realize the serial collecting and setting environmental parameters function in experiments. Communication is realized by MSComm control. Collection and setting up climate room temperature and humidity, make the temperature and humidity control more flexibly, so as to study the pest growth under different environmental conditions and provide a reliable basis for grain storage.3. Experts recommend on stored-grain pests module design. This module is in accordance with the basic principles of HACCP and risk analysis methods. It analysis the hazards in the chain store-prone process, recommend on how to prevent and take measures. It is designed to help managers to assess the environmental factors of the pests that may arise and carry out scientific decision to help, and to take timely and reasonable control measures.4. Realize stored grain insect information Modules. The module is mainly included common stored-grain pests, to describe from the scientific name, morphological characteristics, living habits, etc. Together with the kind of image, the image of stored grain insects can be used as a powerful identification tool, found records and relevant information in the experiments of pests can be record and viewed.
