The Research On Key Technologies Of IPv6 Network Vulnerability Analysis Based On Penetration Test

It is an inevitable tendency that IPv6 will substitute IPv4 as the next generation Internet protocol with rapid development of Internet and exhaustion of IPv4 addresses. IPv6 and IPv4 will coexist for a long time due to the gradual deployment process of IPv6. New security risks and threats are also introduced with new characteristics of IPv6 and the upgrade of IPv4 to IPv6. It is significant to study key technologies of IPv6 network vulnerability anaysis.This paper firstly introduces IPv6 protocol and related knowledge ofnetwork penetration test. Then the security problems of IPv6 protocol itself and transition mechanism from IPv4 to IPv6 are analyzed and studied. Based on penetration test, we study IPv6 network analysis technologies, including IPv6 network scan, vulnerabilities in IPv6 neighbor discovery mechanism, smurf penetration test in IPv6 network.We design and analyze related penetration test tools. Finally, some advices are put forward to increase the security of IPv6 network.
