Research Into Individuation Web Application Based On Semantic Web Technology

Information and resources on the WWW are growing at a rate exponentially. In the face of the large quantities of information, users are also faced with information overload and resource issues confused. Information on the Internet is so complex, instability and changes quickly, there can not have an authority to organize and manage this comprehensive information. Therefore, in the face of complex Web space, in the face of the vast information ocean, users often feel at a loss, and do not know how to access the content they need.How to recognize the different user's personalized information needs, to provide different services based on user and automatically adjust them has become a research hotspot of the current network environment to explore changes in the information services. Individuation Information Service Based on the user's interests, preferences and other characteristics, through user customization, systems recommendation and system push function, to provide users with personalized information services is a mainstream trend in the future.Current individualized information services are based on "keywords" and it is difficult to resolve two problems: the polysemy, and the multi-word synonyms. In this thesis, A PPP (Personal Preference Profiles) protocol based on the expansion of CC / PP has been proposed used to describing user preference data, and a personalized intelligent WEB application based on SW (Semantic Web) technology --RDF/RDFS, OWL, and SPARQL also have been proposed. Two key technologies of such personalized web applications has be discussed - add semantic to the existing web and transform the existing data to RDF.A auxiliary tool–D2R Map File Generator have been developed to help the mapping between RDB and RDF, finally an experimental demonstration system has been developed to prove the feasibility of such personalized web applications, and its advantages have been show in this demonstration system.
