Networked control systems are integration of controlling science, computing network and communicating technology. While Internet technology is developing quickly, time delay in the network may cause the declining of performance and even instability in networked control systems that is attracting the interest of researchers. Firstly the basic concept of networked control systems with time delay is introduced in this thesis, the reason of time delay in networked control systems and the characteristics of time delay under different control networks are analyzed. Secondly, the networked control systems whose network time-delay is less than one sample period is analyzed. Considering network time delay, the NCS model is obtained. The optimal controller is given based on the NCS model and the control strategy is proposed. Then, the networked control systems whose network time delay is larger than one sample period are analyzed. The adaptive fuzzy controller is designed. While network time-delay is changing, the controller parameters can be tuned dynamically. It can ensure the stability and the performance of the systems.
