Study On Acquisition Of Pulse Images And Methods Of Characterizing Pulse Information

Traditional Chinese Medicine(TCM) is a treasure of our nation.TCM pulse diagnosis has much potential in disease pre-diagnosis,non-organic pathological diagnosis and treatment.The research of objective and scientific pulse diagnosis will integrate modern science methods into TCM sphygmology,and improve the social status and practice importance of TCM today.The first step of the research is developing pulse sensors,that can acquire the signals with modern tools and analyse those with modern science methods,just like the chinese doctors did in the past.The second step of the research is analyzing the pulse information acquiried by developing pulse sensors,and then finding the way to clinical application.Firstly,the pulse image sensor was introduced,including its structure,design and operating mechanism.The higher performance industrial camera and specialized lens were adopted and the device seal problem was solved.Some new functions were added. The processing method of films' grids was improved.So,the sensor is more effective and convenience than before.How to acquire pulse wave from dynamic images is the first step of pulse information analysis.Firstly,the pulse wave was acquired from pulse dynamical images by applying area centre law,correlation law and differential law,some of those methods based on gray-scale analysis were improved in this paper.Another methods based on lens imaging principle can acquire pulse wave quantitatively,therefore these methods get the advantage over those based on gray-scale analysis.To the aim of getting the precisest and clearest pulse wave by this pulse image sensor,a comparatively reasonable and convenient position-setting principle of the sensor was presented in this paper.Finally,dynamic images of two subjects were analyzed by using time-domain index of pulse waves with the methods mentioned above.Benefit from the mass data of pulse image information,many frequently-used characteristic signals of pulse diagnosis in Chinese medicine abstracted by TCM practitioners were get at last.The results show that more pulse information can be acquired by using pulse image sensor than other pulse sensors.Moreover,it provides a new idea and approach for the objective study on pulse diagnosis.
