The Research On The Design Of Agricultural Patent Mapping Software And The Implementation Of Its Framework

Along with the development of market economy, the level of our Agricultural Science and Technology has greatly improved, and the number of applications for agricultural patents is also increasing. However, due to the complexity and particularity during the processes of research and development, the patent protection for agricultural scientific research achievements has being faced lots of difficulties. Additionally, because of the absence of analysis techniques for agricultural patents, agricultural companies or agricultural research institutions can not fully excavate the value of agricultural patents to guide their agricultural technological innovations. Accordingly, how to analyze and use agricultural patents is an urgent and important problem now. As we know, patent map which is one of Patent intelligence analysis methods has a very important role in the analysis and use of patents. Therefore, to research on the design and development of agricultural patent mapping software values a lot in reality.Firstly, the paper overviews the current research both at home and abroad, and studies the development of patent mapping software. Comparing with some kinds of patent information analysis systems, the paper concludes that patent mapping software will be the development tendency of patent information analysis system.Secondly, the paper has finished the systems analysis of agricultural patent mapping software from four aspects which are necessity,feasibility,data needs and functional needs.Thirdly, the paper designs the structure of agricultural patent Database,agricultural patent management module and agricultural patent mapping module, and makes a structural framework of agricultural patent mapping software.Fourthly, according to the structural framework, the paper chooses Visual Basic 6.0 as a development tool and has finished the systems implementation of agricultural patent mapping software.Finally,to prove the operability of agricultural patent mapping software, the paper retrieves patents on soybean from State Intellectual Property Office of the People's Republic of china, and makes the patent map of soybean by using the agricultural patent mapping software.
