In foggy weather,visibility is low and road environment becomes bad.So drivers can't obtain enough road environment information by their vision and it intends to cause accidents.Therefore the driver vision enhancement system becomes an important research content in automobile safety assistance driving system.The obtaining technology of front vehicle information in foggy weather based on millimeter-wave radar is one of the key technologies for the driver vision enhancement system.In foggy weather,the luminous flux and target scene weaken,which decreases the visibility.Visibility decrement affects drivers' visual perception capacity,and drivers cannot obtain sufficient and exact information about location and velocity.So it is easy that drivers would decide or operate inaccurately,and cause road accidents. To upgrade driving safety in foggy weather,enhancing drivers' visual perception capacity is an effective method.This method combines the principle of the influence of the fog to visibility,and uses multi sensors to obtain front car information.It matches front target vehicle collected by the sensors with vision image target,and gives it to drivers in vision format.This can help drivers make proper decisions and operate accurately to meet the requirements of driving safety in foggy weather.Millimeter-wave radar is an effective sensor to collect front vehicle information in foggy weather.How to build a front vehicle information obtaining system is the key research point in this article.This article analyzes the vehicle sensor composition according front vehicle information features in foggy weather,and explains millimeter-wave radar,inertial navigation system and vision sensors respectively,and provides a solution to vehicle computer,display system and communication system to build an integrated vehicle-mounted system.Vehicle-mounted system consists of two parts of hardware and software. Hardware design is the foundation to build the system.This article gives integrated design for vehicle-mounted system,and determines the system information process and hardware structure;It compares and discusses the options of image sensors, vehicle radars and inertial navigation system,and explain the sensor performance parameters,data collection and data processing principle,and comes up with solutions for the installation of various mechanical structure.It designs and realizes vehicle-mounted LCD system,communication system and power supply system according to the system requirements.Vehicle-mounted system software is the heart of the system.This article designs the integrated software framework,interface and vehicle database;compiles programs about the collection of images,radar and inertial navigation data,and programs about data explaining.It realizes image,radar,inertial navigation data displaying and storage.It also builds the matched model for radar targets and vision images,and compiles the matching program of radar targets and the displaying program of the images.At last,it realizes the replay of the experimental data and images simultaneously.Check the system functions according to the road experiments when the system is built.Collect the experimental data,and replay and analyze the collected data,and then measure and estimate the parameters of the target matched model,and at last confirm the model effect.
