Blue laser is analyzed in this thesis, considering the widespread application. Based on the rate-equation and the light distributions of pumping power and oscillating laser, Laser threshold, conversion efficiency, output power of the quasi-three-level system are analyzed theoretically. And the threshold expression mode-matching condition and optimized crystal length of the laser are given at the same time, which provide the theoretical bases foroptimizing and designing the quasi-three-level system lasers.Through the Finite-element analysis temperature distributions in laser crystals are calculated and modeled by ANSYS software. Through the comparison of temperature distributions in three different types of composite and noncomposite YAG or YVO4 rod , it is demonstrated that the superiority of composite rod in improving thermal diffusion and reducing temperature rise in an active segment. According to the pump power the length of crystal is calculated. The crystal at this length can satisfy the hot distribution request and reduce the cost.
