Vegetation is an important ecological factor, is the bearer of climate change, and at the same time have a positive feedback effect in climate change ,is the reflection of the sensitive ecological indicator in environmental change. The plant vegetation ecosystems composing by the surface vegetation play a very important role in the energy of exchange between gas and soil systems in the global change and in biogeochemical processes. On the one hand, climate change will affect the vegetation survival and distribution, thereby affect the land cover, and chang surface reflectivity and surface roughness in regional or global area; On the other hand, these changes will lead to the change of region water cycle and heat cycle, thus affecting the climate and its changes. Therefore, the study of interactions between ecosystem and climate change has an important significance on the forecast in climate system. Studing of the effects of global climate change on ecosystems and ecosystem response, find effective measures to minimize the adverse effects by global climate change and lead to the direction of sustainable development.MODIS is a new " Combination of images and spectra " generation of the optical remote sensing instruments in world, a substantial increase in spatial resolution. 4 transit times in one day, are more real-time monitoring capability for a variety of sudden and rapid changes in the natural disasters, have 36-band, the multi-channel observation increase the observing capabilities of the Earth complexity system and surface recognition greatly. MODIS data has tremendous potential in monitoring application climatic factors and vegetation cover, it will promote the Detection of Remote Sensing Application in ecological environment, so that we learn more about the whole region or the global ecological environment for China's eco-environmental monitoring and the Western sustainable development in arid areas to provide a scientific basis. In this paper, the study area is from 2002 to 2008 period in Xinjiang, Analysis Time-series characteristics of MODIS vegetation index (NDVI and EVI) in Xinjiang, the southern border and the northern and meteorological factors (temperature, precipitation and sunshine) , and Comparative Analysis in the typical NDVI and EVI area ,and the response scope analysis of vegetation index and meteorological factorsand the time lag analysis. The results show that: the vegetation index and meteorological factors is increasing in the past seven years in Xinjiang, MODIS vegetation index has a significant correlation between temperature and precipitation in Xinjiang, southern Xinjiang and the northern, has a time lag and has a poor correlation with sunshine. Meteorological factors have the largest correlation between vegetation index and weather site in a radius of 60 km rang. the strongest intensity is temperature in response to Nanjiang meteorological factors and vegetation index, followed by precipitation, the weakest of sunshine. the strongest intensity is precipitation in response to Northern vegetation index and meteorological factors, followed by temperature, the weakest of sunshine. In a typical region, NDVI values are greater than EVI values, the higher the vegetation coverage, the greater the difference between NDVI and EVI, in the dense vegetation areas, NDVI occurs saturation, and the EVI value is not saturated.
