If any, most discussion is concentrated on its technological application.The author has stated the development history and current situation of electronic newspaper, then analyzed its chief characteristics and media attributes.This paper, based on the field study, survey and literature research, tries to draw a conclusion that there will be a great potential market for electronic newspaper in future. However, as a compensative media to meet personal needs, it could not occupy the monopoly position of communication terminal in the future media market.
