The wireless sensor network comprises of a number of sensor nodes with auto cooperative net protocol. WSN can realize the collecting information, data managing and transmiting, and it is a new field of information technologys. So the WSN can be widely used in security, environmental monitoring, medical treatment, even anti-terrorism, etc. the development and application will make great contribution to the life of human.As Wireless Sensor Network is generally deployed in very complex environment , at the same time, the sensor batteries are difficult to replace, so the whole network function will be influenced if the sensor node batteries run out. As to this energy-confined network, energy efficiency has been a key concern in the research work of WSN. By combing the key mobile technology of communication MIMO with Wireless Sensor Network, the cooperative MIMO communication system is formed, which show better energy efficiency than traditional Single SISO comrnunication system. On the other hand, some applications have the requirement of receiving the datas in the shortest time, therefore, to design the protocols needs to take into account the end-to-end timeliness.In this paper, a number of neighbor nodes act as cooperative nodes to form the cooperative MIMO technology in order to save the energy consumption of the whole sensor network. An energy-efficient chain-based cooperative MIMO scheme (PEGASIS-MIMO) is designed, in which the cooperative MIMO technology is incorporated into the transmission between the cooperative nodes and the base station. In the traditional wireless network the energy consumption mainly concentrates in energy consumption caused by practical wireless transmission. But in energy-confined Wireless Sensor Network the energy consumption of circuit module cannot be neglected, which is different from traditional wireless network. The STBC training overhead must be considered when analyzing the energy consumption of the cooperative MIMO technology. So we make the analysis about total energy consumption combing with the circuit module energy consumption and the STBC training overhead during the whole communication process. And the energy consumption and latency model of the protocol is developed. For PEGASIS-MIMO transmission scheme too much latency characteristic, authors improved it, and an energy-efficient many chain-based cooperative MIMO scheme (MPEGASIS-MIMO) is proposed.we make the analysis about total energy consumption and the latency. Simulation results prove that tremendous energy saving is possible, and the MPEGASIS-MIMO scheme reduces the latency, which is suitable for using in high real-time applications.
