Internet security has always been the hotspot of social attention. The increasingly rampant network viruses have caused enormous economic loss and psychological influence to people's life. To build a safe and healthy internet environment is the remorseless pursuit of the experts of anti-virus, also the nice wishes of all the internet users. In order to design a highly-efficient scheme to confront the viruses, the first step is to understand the spreading process of virus adequately. Consequently, researches on the propagation model of virus have become primary and exigent. In this paper, tow propagation models have been present based on the email virus and worm respectively. Furthermore, a promising detected scheme is proposed which detected viruses based on the abnormal behaviors of viral emails.Firstly, the research background, research meaning, research situation and the development trend of computer virus were introduced in the first chapter. The analysis and comparison of the existing models was followed. Subsequently, the defending technologies of computer virus were also introduced briefly.Secondly, this paper proposed a new prevalence model of email virus by analyzing the characteristics and the influence factors of email virus spreading, and the infection rate of email virus is defined as a function about many human factors. Based on the proposed model, the moment that the virus propagation culminates and its effects on controlling viruses were studied. The condition in which email virus propagation stops after the appearance of anti-virus program is deduced from the theoretical and practical perspective.Following, a dynamic model of worm is presented, which regard the infection rate and immunization rate as a function about time. It is well know that the spreading of worm is limited by the bandwidth. Therefore, the infection rate would be various with time. Based on the dynamic property of immunization, the immunization rate was also change with time. In addition, this paper take tow kinds of immunization into consider, illustrate there effects on the prevalence of worm.Finally, a novel detected scheme based on the abnormal behaviors of viral emails rather than the pattern of viruses is designed. This scheme stop the diffusion of email viruses by detecting the behavior of abnormal email, analyzing the degree of risk, and then give email users the risk hint of the receiving emails. The scheme is available to detect the new viruses and variation, which is according with the developing requirement of anti-virus technology.
