Bivariate non-separable wavelet is an important direction in the development of wavelet theory .It has great significance both in theory and application. The paper mainly studies the construction of bivariate non-separable wavelet and its applications in image de-noising.Our construction follows the standard multiresolution analyis (MRA) in R~2, the paperstudies the property of bivariate wavelet and the algorithm of the decomposition and reconstruction. The necessary and sufficient conditions of non-separable orthogonal wavelet with vanishing moments are given based on the special dilation matrixM =(?).The non-separable orthogonal wavelet with three vanishing moments isdesigned and applied in image de-noising. The result of experiment is satisfy.
