Development Of Servers Supervision System In The Water Information Safety System

Supervision to servers is an important part of whole net's Supervision. The net's running state can be monitored, some abnormity during its running process can be found out in time, and the important parameters for finding abnormal reason can be provided by the Supervision servers. This paper is aimed to research structure and technology of net's management with high security and high stability. Based on requirements of the water safety information system which Navigation Research Institute in Dalian Maritime University is in charge of, Supervision technology of distribution and Supervision strategies of heart-beating check are chosen to design a Supervision system for group of servers.First, this paper shows the implementation in detail and the chart of important processing in important module of the system through analyzing the Supervision system for servers based on client and server structure.In the course of system operation, Supervision server collect the relational service parameters which can indicate the abnormal state of servers through the request of data collection sent by Supervision terminals. And then Supervision servers send these data to the Supervision terminals through the cable. At last, Supervision terminals display these data in the form of some intuitional ways such as picture, table or menu, etc, by the functions in display module after these data has been calculated and dealt.The test running result of this system is excellent. The controllable and the manageable module are designed for the agents of basic services in Supervision servers to make sure that the basic services are able to running stably. The controllable and manageable module checks the living flags of all these basic services in the service list of windows every fixed time. And when one of the basic services' flag is abnormal, the module can also restart it automaticallySecondly, Supervision system may be forced to be abnormal because of the malicious attack from outside. Supervision servers use pipe to collect data between the two different processes to make sure that the operation of the basic services will not be impacted by the malicious attack and keep strong independence from the Supervision servers. The research results have been applied in the project of the water safety information system, which Navigation Research Institute in Dalian Maritime University is in charge of. The major purpose of this Supervision system is to realize the visible maintenance and management of the distributed servers.
