Radar Target Modeling Based On DSP

In VTS systems,the processing of radar original video signal is very important. With the development of Very Large Scale Integrated Circuits(VLSI) technology, especially the appearance of very large-scale programmable logic device and the promotion of high-performance DSP configuration,radar signal digitized processing has got a new break-through.In this dissertation,the technique of radar target modeling is proposed.Radar target modeling is a technology which can extract the targets outline and barycenter characteristic,then does the distinction processing through the model matching to targets.The target modeling transforms the image expression based on the picture as the data expression based on the vector.It not only realizes the data compression,but causes the transmission,the storage,the demonstration and the management of the radar target information is more convenient,strengthens the radar's operating effectiveness under the computer network environment.The target detection based on model can improve the radar's detection performance.The radar target modeling system mainly has three essential parts:target outline extraction,target outline characteristics extraction,model matching.The paper mainly studies the realization of this three-part and does simulation.Firstly,this paper proposes a method combining slide-window detection with the neighborhood detection for outline extraction,based on studying the radar image characteristic and the outline extraction's classical algorithm.The simulation results show that the algorithm can not only accurately extract the outline of target,but meet the requirements of the system's real-time.The paper studies the target outline characteristic further on the basis of getting target outline.According to the principles which include the discrimination,the stability,the small data quantity and the characteristic of radar image,the paper extracts the geometry characteristic of target.By simulation,the paper also studies the geometry characteristic.Secondly,the paper studies the various matching methods of the target modeling and determines a outline-based method of radar target modeling.By comparative analysis of results,the paper validates the accuracy and the effectiveness of the algorithm:Finally,the paper analyses the system's hardware and software platform.It mainly studies the system's software design and optimization.The algorithm's experimental results show that the algorithm of the radar target modeling based on DSP meets the performance requirement of system,has the very good modeling effect.
